Pilot Episode - Chiseled to Perfection

Over the last year, I had the opportunity to follow the team at @stevemasonry as they worked on projects through all four seasons. Going into it, I thought I was making a film about stone masonry. I came away realizing it was really about the art of craftsmanship.

Through my experience I got to understand why architects specifically seek out Steve's work, and why homeowners are willing to invest in this level of craftsmanship.

After talking with architects, builders, and clients, it started to make sense. For them, it isn't just about laying stone. It's about the feeling you get when you see the finished product. That result comes from getting involved early in the design, choosing the right materials, and creating something that's meant to last for generations.

Watching these guys work gave me a whole new appreciation for the trade. There are so many details most people will never notice, but those details are the reason these homes turn out the way they do.

My hope is that as you watch this short film, you experience some of the same inspiration I felt while making it.
